Examiner Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

1. Examiner Responsibilities

As an examiner on this platform, you agree to conduct all mock speaking tests fairly, impartially, and in accordance with the standards of the relevant exam (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, Duolingo, or other supported exam types). You must demonstrate a proficiency level of C1 or above (or the corresponding level for the exam type you conduct) and possess the knowledge required to evaluate speaking performance accurately.

2. Qualification Verification

You agree to upload evidence of your language proficiency during onboarding. Accepted documents include official score reports, certificates, or any proof demonstrating C1 or higher proficiency (or the equivalent level for your exam type). An official examiner certificate is not required. The platform reserves the right to suspend your account pending verification review or if any document is found to be fraudulent or misrepresented.

3. Session Recording & AI Analysis

Sessions are recorded via Recall.ai for quality assurance and AI-assisted scoring. You must inform students before each session that it will be recorded. Recordings are stored securely for 7 days after the session is completed, then permanently deleted. The platform reserves the right to share recordings on its official YouTube channel for educational and promotional purposes. Such recordings may include your voice and likeness; personal information will be redacted where possible, or explicit written consent will be obtained from all parties prior to publication. Examiners who do not wish a particular session to be published must notify the platform support team before the session date. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

4. Conducting a Session

  • When the session starts, the student and the recording bot (“Speaking Grader”) will ask to join the Google Meet. You must admit both. Remember: if the bot is not admitted, the session is not recorded and is treated as not having taken place. Such a session is not accepted as completed: you are not paid for it and cannot grade it, and it expires 24 hours after its scheduled end time. If the student paid, the payment is refunded to the student minus the platform's service fee, which is retained. Wait for the student: if the student has not joined the Google Meet within 5 minutes of the scheduled start while the bot is in the call, the session is cancelled automatically as a student no-show, and you are still paid for it.
  • Both your webcam and the student's webcam must be switched on throughout the session.
  • The exam topic for the session is provided in advance on the session page in the system.
  • Shortly after the session ends, its video recording and transcript arrive in the system.
  • You have 1 day (24 hours) to grade the session. If you wish, you can grade straight away — write the feedback, give a score for each criterion and submit. Alternatively, the video serves as additional material that helps you grade more precisely and re-analyse the session. Re-watching the video is not required.
  • The aim is to give the student the experience of sitting a mock under conditions as close as possible to the real exam, and to grade transparently.

5. Payments & Fees

For each completed session you earn the session price minus the platform service fee (currently 20%). Earnings are paid out by card-to-card transfer to the 16-digit bank card you enter in your payout settings, so please keep it up to date. Disputes must be raised within 7 days of the transfer.

Feedback Deadline: You must submit written feedback for each completed session within 24 hours of the recording being finalised. If feedback is not submitted within this window, you forfeit your payout for that session — your share of the payment is refunded to the student, while the platform's service fee is retained. AI-based scoring for the session is generated only after you submit feedback, or after the 24-hour deadline passes without it.

6. Cancellation Policy

Cancelling a session within 24 hours of the scheduled time without sufficient cause may result in a penalty deducted from your next payout. Repeated cancellations may lead to account suspension.

7. Code of Conduct

You agree to treat all students with respect, maintain professional conduct during sessions, provide honest and constructive feedback, and never share student data outside the platform.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate the examiner relationship at any time. Pending payouts for completed sessions will be honoured. The platform may immediately suspend access for violations of these terms.
